After a banking apprenticeship and studying Business Administration I have gained extensive professional experience working at an accountancy firm. In 2009 I began to occupy myself with acrylic painting. I have acquired a basic knowledge in dealing with acrylic colours and their visual impact by attending several painting courses as well as by studying on my own. Since 2012 I have benefited from painting lessons with professional artists.
Acrylic painting gives me the freedom to express my creativity in a full and challenging way. In particular, I take greatest pleasure in painting flowers. The flower motive is naturally very diverse. As Henri Matisse (1869 - 1954) once said: “Everywhere there are flowers for everybody who wants to see.” And Georgia O'Keeffe (1887 - 1986) believed that "... nobody sees a flower - really - it is so small, it takes time, we haven't time, and to see takes time ... ." The beauty of flowers and their bursts of colours inspire me. From an unusual and different perspective on flowers I regard painting them on canvas as my special artistic challange.
